The United Nations Climate Change Secretariat is accepting applications for the 2016 Momentum for Change Lighthouse Activities. Momentum for Change seeks to recognise the most innovative, scalable and replicable examples of what people around the world do to tackle climate change. Examples of results-driven projects that are successfully addressing climate change are the core requirement for this opportunity. If your project is recognized as a Lighthouse Activity you will have an opportunity to participate in the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Morocco in November 2016
Three key area(s) the projects should address are:
- Recognising the critical leadership and participation of women in addressing climate change.
- Financial innovations and funding mechanisms that are unlocking climate finance and building capacity.
- ICT Solutions
Applicants must choose one of the above three focus areas where their activity is making a difference. Applications are welcome from organisations, communities, cities, businesses, governments and others that are taking concrete action on climate change. Deadline for application is 25 April 2016. For more information on this opportunity, visit the Momentum for Change website.
