The International Tree Foundation is currently seeking applications for its Sustainable Community Forestry Programme (SCF) that aims to support community scale projects that will: conserve, restore and protect indigenous forest resources, habitats and associated biodiversity whilst also providing support to community-led natural resource management that promote reforestation; improve nutrition, food security and local livelihoods through sustainable use of trees and related income generation.
To be eligible for the SCF programme, the proposed project must take place in Africa, Asia or the Caribbean. Deadline for applications is 17 October 2016. For more information, visit the Sustainable Community Forestry Programme website.
The Sustainable Community Forestry Program will play a great role in conservation of indigenous tree species as will also help community planting tree for their basic tree product need. I congratulate the initiative. Big up.
