The TAP is a ten year program to showcase the potential of local climate action, and is an inclusive and cooperative effort by networks of local and subnational governments. The TAP seeks to: improve access to existing capital flows to cities and regions; catalyse and accelerate additional capital flows; and maximise investment in low-carbon and climate-resilient urban development and governance processes. The TAP will collect ambitious, cross-cutting, multi-sectorial, inclusive and innovative mitigation and/or adaptation actions led by local and subnational governments. A number of well-defined transformative actions will then be presented during the UNFCCC’s annual COP meetings. The program will focus especially on those projects and action plans that have the potential to contribute to the international pre- and post-2020 climate regime. The final deadline for applications is 15th August 2015.
