Funding for Climate change projects

ICLEI Africa has teamed up with R20 and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) who have established a dedicated fund for selected climate change projects to undergo feasibility studies and be developed into bankable projects, ready for implementation investment.

ICLEI Africa is currently inviting African cities and regions on behalf of this partnership to collaborate with us in developing brief project proposals that will be submitted to the 100 Solution Climate Project Campaign in early August. Projects of US$5 mill upwards (one or more projects combined) can be submitted and need to tangibly contribute to climate change mitigation (energy efficiency, renewable energy or waste management) or adaptation.
