The South African National Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) has opened applications for their graduate internship programme for the year 2016/2017. Unemployed South African graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 are encouraged to apply. This opportunity will promote representation of race, gender and disability. The Internship Programme will commence on 1st April 2016 and end on 31st March the following year. Applications close on 22 December 2015.
The internship offers work experience in various fields, including but not limited to:

- Environmental Economics
- Natural Sciences
- Waste management
- Biodiversity and Conservation
- Climate changeĀ and Air Quality
- Engineering
- Public Administration
- Psychology
- Information Technology
- Media and Communications
