Climate Reality Projects’ 24 Hour Online Global Day

Posted in: Uncategorized

The Climate Reality Project will be hosting a 24 hour online global day of climate action and music on the 13th of November 2015 to encourage viewers to sign an online petition to encourage world leaders to take action at COP21.  The Project aims to unite individuals from all parts of the world to collaborate and sign the online petition. The 24 hour long live programme will be hosted by former US Vice President and Climate Reality Chairman and Founder, Al Gore, and will be divided into eight segments with each running for three hours. The segments will be broadcast live from Paris. Each segment will focus on critical issues relating to climate change and climate change action. Strategies and success stories will also form part of the content shared in the segments.

Individuals are encouraged to participate and take action by forming networks to participate in this movement. More details regarding participation are provided on the 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth: The World Is Watching website. In addition to the 24 hour programme a combined open letter will be compiled which will represent a global voice. The Climate Reality Project is inviting all individuals to use media platforms to spread the message to global leaders to take action at COP21. Add your voice on their website and use other forms of media such as Facebook and Twitter to invite friends to take action. For more details on participation download the Open Letter Social Media Toolkit.
