The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) is currently inviting proposals for its International Climate Initiative (IKI), in support of climate and biodiversity projects in developing countries, emerging economies and transition states (‘partner countries’). It aims to fund high-quality projects that are sufficiently innovative or have sufficiently ambitious climate protection and biodiversity conservation goals to promote transformative change.
The International Climate Initiative supports the following areas:
Adaptation to climate change;
Conservation, restoration and sustainable use of natural carbon sinks;
