The Adaptation Fund finances projects and programmes that help vulnerable communities in developing countries adapt to climate change. The Fund’s Climate Finance Readiness Programme includes a component that aims to increase South South cooperation between accredited National Implementing Entities (NIEs) and those seeking accreditation. Accredited NIEs are invited to apply for the grant to support developing countries that do not yet have an accredited NIE in the following areas: (i) identifying potential NIE candidates; (ii) assisting NIE candidates in the preparation of applications to be submitted to the Fund; (iii) providing support and advice during the application process.

The deadline for applications is the 28th of September 2015.

The maximum grant provided by the fund is US$ 50,000 per applicant. For more information on funding activities, eligibility and how to apply, please visit the Adaptation Fund’s Cooperation Grants webpage.
